Professor Beamer is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He is a member of the Risk Control Program within the Department of Industrial Management in the College of Technology, Engineering and Management.

 

Education

Professor Beamer holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Russian Language and Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1992); a Master of Arts Degree in Russian Language and Literature from the University of Iowa (1995); a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati (1997); and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis on Safety Engineering from the University of Cincinnati (2004). Additionally, Professor Beamer is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.

 

Professional Background

Professor Beamer has worked as a Program Manager for Delphi Automotive, as an Industrial Engineer for Rittal Corporation and as a Research Engineer for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Research at NIOSH centered on: Evaluation of Local Exhaust Ventilation for the United States Postal Service Development of Engineering Controls to Reduce Worker Exposure to Respirable Crystalline Silica.
