Danny J BeeProfessional InvolvementI am actively involved with several professional organizations and volunteer efforts. I am the past chair of the ASEE Manufacturing Division. I have performed numerous other division officer duties, including administering the paper review process for the division's mini-conference on manufacturing education within the ASEE Annual Conference. UW-Stout hosted the ASEE North Midwest Section Annual Conference and Meeting October 5-7, 2006. I led the planning efforts for this sectional conference that draws engineering educators from our section (Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Manitoba, as well as Illinois and Michigan). Follow this link to learn more about the American Society for Engineering Education. In addition, I am a Steering Committee Member of the SME Manufacturing Education and Research Community. This steering committee is responsible for coordinating the education and research efforts of many SME Technical Groups. You can learn more about these groups at the Society of Manufacturing Engineering website. Finally, we host the Stout Regional FLL Tournament every fall. FLL is the FIRST Lego League and is a technical challenge utilizing the mindstorms programmable systems from LEGO. Follow this link for the Stout FLL Regional Tournament website. Winners at our tournament advance to the Wisconsin FLL State Tournament in December. Follow this link to learn more about the Wisconsin FIRST Lego League.
