Michael Levy--Personal Information

I was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1950 and, yes, I'm a Cubs, White Sox, Bears, and Bulls fan. Graduated from James Bowen High School in Chicago in 1968 and enrolled at the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois. Graduated in 1972 with a degree in English. Received an M.A. in English from Ohio State University in Columbus in 1974 and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 1982.

My interests include reading, writing, collecting multicultural children's books, gardening, racquetball.

Married to Sandra Lindow since 1983. Sandra is a Reading Specialist at the Eau Claire Academy. Sandra is also an award-winning poet and has published a number of scholarly articles on the fiction of Ursula K. Le Guin and Lois McMaster Bujold.

Two Children--My stepson, Scott McDonald, age 27, works as a computer technician in Minneapolis, MN and is finishing up his degree in English from the University of Minnesota.  My daughter, Miriam Levy, age 15 (nearly), is a freshman at Memorial High School in Eau Claire, WI.  Miriam is adopted and was born in Seoul, South Korea.
